Years of experience in home theater has brought me to the stage to build a reference home "cinema" that fulfill all the requirements in the THX, HAA & ISF Standards.
From 2D planning stage to 3D rendering with lighting effect and controls, there will be tremendous amount of equipment and coordination involved.
2D plan with proper calculation on all positions and angles.
Building ceiling framework with woods & aluminium reinforcement.
Spaghetti wires for audio and video feed. As well as HD AV steaming to whole house. Although it's a painful process but seeing the end result is fulfilling.
Comes the carpentry work. Stage wiring for LED light strips, power points for future Hifi setup.
Frames are up, awaiting for side pillars, lighting fixture, acoustic panels and carpet. Sciroco Ventilation fan 325Cu/min is up. Air conditioning will be installed next week.
Choosing the right material and colors is always the toughest because there are factors to take in consideration. Reflection and lighting could altered the colors.
LED strips are up.
Carpentry work done on 4 oct 2013.
Front stage where a 133" 16:9 acoustic transparent screen will be mounted. (Led strip is not completed yet)
Wall finishes with 12.5mm gypsum boards to provide a tad of damping. Wallpaper will be next. And the final finishing will be acoustic panels.
Once the structure is completed, system will be installed and carefully calibrated to provide the best sound ever in home cinema. This project will allow clients to experience what a true home "cinema" should look, feel and sound like. With proper planning, it is not necessary to spend a fortune to get it done. I always believe in having the best value for money combination and have never agreed in simply spending in high end gears without properly calibrated by a professional who knows what they are doing. Like I always say, a dealer is not necessary an enthusiasts. Most people do it for a living, some pushes you to buy unnecessary gears or accessories but I do it for the love of it, this is my passion and I want all of you to be able to squeeze the best performance out from your systems regardless how much you have invested.
I will be reviewing more when this project goes into the furnishing stage. So stay tune!
