Does your current system distorts before your ears do?

Did you ever noticed your ear drums ringing when you were in a discotheque? Or noticed any loud bass that is breaking apart?

Also when you were at your friend's house while he is playing loudly on his home theater and Hifi system?

What actually happened there?
The answer is quite straight forward but could also be very complex.

The answer is distortion.

When you stress the equipment beyond the tolerance level, you bring the system into the distortion level which could either damage your ears or equipment.

Why would somebody wants to do that? That's because the user has no clue or zero knowledge in the equipment and how it should be set up.

A lot of dealers or installers literally just sell whatever your budget allows even if they know there's a potential of damaging your equipment if stressed beyond the limit.

How do we determine the limit of the equipment ?
Unless you have experienced into setting up and auditing the equipment in your room or home, there's no way to know it as a everyday consumer.
If you tell the seller your budget is 2k only, the first thing in a salesman mind is to sell you something that is within or slightly more than your budget. They sell, they get commission, the end of story.

When a customer walks into my shop, they will not hear a word from me to buy unless I know it is beneficial to them.

A lot of systems are very capable but when being installed and setup in the wrong environment and settings, it could be damaging and hazardous to our ears.
